[i] ABSTRACT

Before you is the final medical record compiled by the author over a professional career as an orthopaedic surgeon. This work outlines information regarding a patient who sustained a hip joint injury in the Middle Bronze Age. The source material is extracted from the Book of Genesis and cross-referenced with facts from history, archaeology, natural science, and medicine past and present.

Along the way, it is demonstrated that the protograph was composed in Ancient Egypt during the Second Intermediate Period, following the Minoan Eruption, with the participation of an encyclopedic physician. In this work of fiction, an unknown healer provided the first-ever description of the mechanism and symptoms of an injury to the ligament of the head of femur. Thus, 3,600 years ago, an ancient Egyptian doctor laid the scientific foundation for rational diagnosis, prevention, treatment, and optimal arthroplasty of the hip joint.

This work is primarily addressed to readers with a medical education. This is a popular scientific and philosophical-medical conceptualization that stimulates discussion regarding the limits of ancient knowledge and the unresolved problems of modern orthopaedics. Colleagues and those interested in the origins of Abrahamic beliefs will find it intriguing to learn that the Book of Genesis was conceived as political propaganda to legitimate an Asiatic official. This high-level compilation of meanings and early writings from Egypt, Mesopotamia, and the Hittite Empire originally possessed no religious significance. To impart realism, the literary monument was furnished with information regarding the scientific, social, technical, and technological achievements of the Ancient Near East and North Africa. Among other things, this epic masterpiece contains the oldest medical knowledge, demonstrating the author's extraordinary erudition. The archaic doctor reflected a broad spectrum of nosological entities: Charles Bonnet syndrome, congenital hypertrichosis, parasitic brain disease, genetically determined polycystic ovary syndrome, myopia, anthrax, obstructive sleep apnoea syndrome, or Ondine's curse syndrome. Embedded within the verses are accounts of hazardous conditions during physiological processes, as well as complications of surgical operations and diseases: post-circumcision inflammation, prolapse of fetal small parts in multiple pregnancy, foetal postpartum haemorrhage, blindness due to trachoma, hypnopompic hallucinations, and dreams associated with nocturnal hypoxaemia. Of particular note in the primary source are: a project for rib resection under anaesthesia, and the anticipation of genetic and cellular modification followed by incubation of a human of a different sex. In the plotline involving physicians participating in embalming, one discerns the earliest evidence of an autopsy. By way of enlightenment, the basic elements of the physiology of human conception are presented, and a 'folk' method of treating infertility is debunked. The text features observational and sanitary-hygienic measures that later formed the basis for the prevention of contagious infections and epidemic control. The author's analysis of the aforementioned data and retrospective diagnosis invite specialists to evaluate the plausibility of the identified nosologies, medical hypotheses, and hyperboles. Expert review will complement existing understanding regarding the evolution of diseases and therapeutic techniques, enhance respect for the intellectual heritage of ancient Egyptian civilization, and help novice medical professionals develop clinical reasoning—ultimately assisting in solving the highly complex problem of ligament of the head of femur reconstruction, which has remained relevant for over three millennia.

Dating and authorship of the Book of Genesis

An original perspective on the dating and authorship of the Book of Genesis. This approach can reconcile all faiths, including atheists and scientists. English version of the article: https://roundligament.blogspot.com/2026/02/great-compilation-introduction.html   Abstract The Book of Genesis (Bereshith) was composed in Egypt during the 17th century BCE and reached its definitive protographic form following the Minoan eruption of Thera. This study argues that the work was the result of a collaboration between an Egyptian polymath and a distinguished scribe of Asiatic descent. By analyzing ancient texts, anatomical descriptions, archaeological data, Bronze Age cultural history, and climatic markers, this article demonstrates that the book emerged from the work of a high-ranking socio-political committee within the Egyptian House of Life. We argue that the inclusion of precise anatomical data, such as the ligamentum capitis femoris, serves as a diagnostic marker of this Egypti...

From a genetic perspective, they are depicted as siblings, with an age difference of 18–25 years. According to the biblical epic, they formed humanity’s first family, sustaining themselves on pre-existing fruits and seeds. Their initial home was the "garden in Eden," located "in the east" relative to the narrator. The text identifies geographic markers for Eden’s location: lands like "Asshur," "Cush," and "Havilah," and rivers named "Pishon," "Gihon," "Hiddekel," and "Phrath." The narrator also notes the region’s economic value, mentioning "gold," ...

The author examines in detail the structure, shape and blood supply of the ligamentum capitis femoris (LCF). Jakob Henle notes that the LCF serves as a conduit for vessels and participates in the synthesis of synovial fluid. Its strength varies, but usually it is robust. However, according to the author, the mechanical role of the LCF lies in tensioning the capsule of the hip joint. The translation was done in collaboration with ChatGPT 3.5.   Henle J. The First Conservative Treatment

Conservative treatment of ligamentum capitis femoris (LCF) pathology is, without exaggeration, a highly complex subject. We understand how to repair LCF surgically, although we have not yet achieved significant success in this (2024). Methods of drug therapy for changes in LCF are not even discussed today. The first attempt at treating post-traumatic changes in LCF with recurrent hip dislocations was made by Galen of Pergamon (129-210/217 AD) over 19 centuries ago. In Hippocratis de articulis liber et Galeni in eum commentarius quatus (IV, 40) , he wrote: « And when mucus builds up in the joint, then the ligament [LCF] softens and weakens as a result. And it does not matter whether you call it a ligament ( σύνδεσμον ) or a connecting sinew ( νεῦρον συνδετικόν ). For those ligaments that have a rounded shape like tendons are usually called connecting sinews by anatomists. And we have already cured this kind of hip dislocation twice, and it did not dislocate again. Drying medica...

Tiktaalik roseae

TIKTAALIK ROSEAE The first truly tetrapod animal (Limbed tetrapods) is recognized as the lobe-finned fish Tiktaalik roseae (clade Elpistostegalia), discovered in rocks aged about 375 Ma (2006DaeschlerEB_JenkinsJrFA; 2008ShubinN; 2017ShubinN). Discoveries in recent years have allowed us to place the taxa of early tetrapodomorphs in the following order: Tinirau, Eusthenopteron, Megalichthys, Panderichthys, Qikiqtania, Tiktaalik, Elpistostege, Parmastega, Ventastega, Acanthostega, Elginerpeton, Ymeria, Ichthyostega (2022StewartTA_ShubinNH).
