The Iliad. Book V. 302-310.

But the son of Tydeus grasped in his hand a stone — a mighty deed — one that not two men could bear, such as mortals now are; yet lightly did he wield it even alone. Therewith he smote Aeneas on the hip, where the thigh turns in the hip joint, — the cup, men call it — and crushed the cup-bone, and broke furthermore both sinews, and the jagged stone tore the skin away. Then the warrior fell upon his knees, and thus abode, and with his stout hand leaned he upon the earth; and dark night enfolded his eyes. (Trans. A.T. Murray; original source 1924Homer, p. 217)
