Os ischium…
... In the part facing the pelvis (a), the ischium is
smooth, moderately concave, deeply curved on the outside (b). This curve,
called the acetabulum, is the largest, almost circular, and can be divided into
two parts: one in a sense semilunar, covered with cartilage (c), on this side
smooth, the other more deeply depressed, rough (d), providing room for mucous gland
and forming the round ligament, which is attached to the head of the femur (e).

pp. 108-109
Femoris os...
... The head is large, spherical, covered with smooth
cartilage, located obliquely (b), that is, directed upward and inward,
corresponds in size and shape to the acetabulum (i), enters it and is attached
to it with the help of a round ligament, which is firmly attached to on one
side to the acetabulum, and on the other to the deep, uneven fossa located in
the mentioned head (k). ...
