Das von dem Ligamentum capsulare fibrosum bedeckte Ligamentum capsulare synoviale überzieht eben so die Gelenkhöhle, wie jenes, schlägt sich dann einwärts , überzieht das Collum, auf welchem es bündelförmige Falten Plicae, s. Frenula welche viele Gefässe enthalten, bildet. Ueber das Labrum cartilagineum geht die Synovialhaut hinüber in die Pfanne, hüllt das Ligamentum teres scheidenförmig, die Massa adiposoglandulosa in der Fovea acetabuli und die Fovea capitis ein, so dass im Acetabulum gar kein freier Raum ist. Mit der überknorpelten Superficies lunata acetabuli und mit dem überknorpelten Kopf verbindet sich die umgeschlagene Synovialhaut als Perichondrium. Indem sie das Ligamentum teres einhüllt, leitet sie die Gefässe zum Schenkelbeinkopf.
