What is more important?
What is
more important, m. gluteus medius or ligamentum capitis femoris?

My comment on the view on LCF as a shock absorber:
The elastic
modulus of rubber is 5-9 MPa, polyethylene film (LDPE) 10-90 MPa.
The elastic modulus of tendon is 160 MPa (Федорова ВН, Фаустов ЕВ, 2008).
The elastic modulus of LCF under tension reaches 252.8±23.0 MPa (Gao F, Yang Y, Ma H, 2008). Mechanical properties show that under load along the fibrils, this structure is not elastic enough. In my opinion, LCF acts not as a spring, but as a low-stretch cord.
