Claims

A complete hip joint prosthesis containing an acetabular component having protrusions on the outer surface, articulated with a spherical head of the femoral component, made in the form of a shaped rod provided with a leg and a neck, characterized in that the upper part of the femoral component contains a support pad and a longitudinal channel with thread in which the screw is installed, the leg contains through transverse holes, some of which have threads for screws connecting the leg with the osseous plates, and spherically the head is equipped with a through hole with a movable sleeve installed in it, the longitudinal axis of the hole of which coincides with the longitudinal axis of the through oblique channel passing through the neck and leg, intersecting the longitudinal channel inside it, and the acetabular component is made in the form of a spherical bowl with holes for screws in which the liner is installed, in the form of a segment of a spherical shell in which a spherical head is installed, the edges of the acetabular component have a rim with shaped protrusions having through holes threaded for screws, and in the bottom of the acetabular component a through hole is made in which a sleeve is installed through which a flexible element passes, one end of which is attached to the pelvic bone, and the other end, passed through the sleeve of the spherical head and the through oblique channel of the leg, is fixed a screw installed in the longitudinal channel, in addition, the shaped protrusions of the rim of the acetabular component and the femoral component are connected by flexible elements, and the femoral component and the pelvic bone are connected by flexible, elastic elements.

Key Role of the LCF

In the experiments conducted on the pelvis-femur-muscle-ligaments model, we found that when the contralateral pelvic drop occurs, the ligament of the head of femur become maximally tense; simultaneously, there is relaxation and lengthening of the gluteus medius muscle; the pelvis spontaneously rotates towards the stance limb (forward), and the load on the hip joint decreases. Thanks to the functioning of the ligament of the head of femur the walking is smooth, rhythmic, and energy-efficient. Paradox. The necessary is needed by no one

Post in a community for patients after arthroplasty.                                                                                                          A question for the patient community from an implant designer (if the Admin allows it). Hello everyone, I have a question regarding Total Hip Replacement (THR). As many of you know, dislocations remain a serious risk after surgery. This often happens because a prosthesis lacks the natural ligament that stabilizes a healthy joint. I have developed an experimental prosthesis designed for significantly higher stability. This anti-dislocation effect is achieved by creating an "internal ligament" within the construct. Theoretically, this would allow patients to bring th...
